A former Canadian diplomat, she held various public service positions at the Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade in Ottawa, at the Canadian Embassy in Madrid and at the International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance (International IDEA) in Stockholm. For over 10 years, she advised senior policy-makers in the areas of international relations, environmental affairs and democracy building, before specializing in the development of systems, tools and capacity for results-based management in public and non-profit organizations. She is a firm believer in accountability and is familiar with both traditional and novel accountability mechanisms in international cooperation.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from McGill University, as well as graduate degrees in Environmental Policy and in Electoral Processes. She is fluent in English, French and Spanish and speaks basic Swedish.
